mastodon accounts stuck at "Awaiting connection acknowledge"

i try to follow some users on the # instance https://mstdn.tokyocameraclub.com
Whenever i follow a contact on that instance they are stuck at "Awaiting connection acknowledge" (and not showing up anywhere, see #).
I did a test with my account on mastodon.social and following them works flawlessly, the accounts are not locked or something like this.

Seems like my # instance and this particular mastodon instance don't speak the same language. ;)

I just tried to reproduce this issue but without success. Following https://mstdn.tokyocameraclub.com/users/taisukegt820 from my test node running 2019.09-rc worked flawless and as expected. A bit slow though but finally successful.

Thanks for the test. I've tried the same and it's still the same on my side: account is stuck on "Awaiting connection acknowledge". So i guess its related to my instance. Probing and webfinger the remote address seems to return valid results.

Could do a probe on my account to see if the instance is set up correctly?

Having a look in the contact table, the contact has set "https://freunde.ma-nic.de" as baseurl, which is quite nonsense.
I manually deleted the account and then was able to send a new follow request. The new account again is stored with baseurl https://freunde.ma-nic.de

Tracking it further down by doing another follow request after manual deletion:
The newly created account has set "network" to unknown and baseurl correctly to mastodon.social right after sending the request. After the first contact update, the protocol is set to apub and the baseurl switched to freunde.ma-nic.de

No clue whats going on here... :weird:

The dbstructure is up to date as far as i can tell, the recently added fields (e.g. queue_failed) are there.

Following another account on mastodon.social works flawless...there must be something messed up in my db with some specific accounts.

Follow-up to this issue: after updating to the current develop branch and deleting the old contacts, i can now successfully follow contacts on msdtn.tokyocameraclub.com
