Chat bridge across to Telegram
As per request from a community member, we've bridged our main chat room (`#feneas:feneas.org on #Matrix and `#feneas` on #Freenode) over to #Telegram. You'll find it at https://t.me/feneas
Before deciding to do this, we had a [vote](https://matrix.to/#/!XTcFGXYoSwwJPindtt:feneas.org/$1564783163379oMZvB:federator.dev?via=matrix.org&via=feneas.org&via=kde.org) which passed 3 in favour, 1 against. There was enthusiastic discussion about this. Some people had concerns over promoting centralized services, however many people saw the benefits of enabling people on the centralized services to get involved on the #federated web via the tools they currently use.
We believe bridging is a good way to provide community tools like chat rooms, ensuring people can participate using the the tools they have at their disposal. For anyone looking for a chat tool, we do recommend using the #FOSS and #decentralized options out there, for example Matrix, #IRC or #XMPP - to name a few. We hope to convert some of the people on the Telegram side of the chat room to do so in the future 😀
Our chat room currently has a few hundred people from all around the federated web. Looking forward to seeing you there too!
